Country Manager (Thailand)

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Country Manager, based in Bangkok, Thailand, who will set up and grow our Thailand office alongside with the regional leadership team.

This is an exciting opportunity as you’ll have a front-row seat to building and growing a new office and team in Thailand, alongside Mutant’s Regional team across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

You'll drive overall growth and profitability across PR, content, social media, and branding. Your hands-on leadership will involve identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and overseeing the Thailand market's performance. Collaboration with the regional team and building a strong, empowered local team are key aspects of your responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing:

• You’ll set-up & drive overall growth, business development and manage the Thailand office profitably (across the public relations, content, social media & branding arms)
• You’ll be have a hands-on leadership role that includes identifying new business opportunities and proposal development, being involved in client meetings to provide overall strategy and direction
• You’ll be accountable for Thailand market’s overall performance and P&L
• You’ll manage and oversee the execution of marketing strategies and growth campaigns (working with the regional Mutant team) to build Mutant’s brand in Thailand
• You’ll hire, empower and mentor your team to bring about growth and development; with a high retention rate
• You’ll work closely with the regional team based in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia (and other markets to come) for regional new business development
• You’ll be Mutant Thailand’s ambassador and spokesperson in the market, building thought leadership and professional relationships with clients and relevant media

What you need to be successful in this role:

• You bring along 10-15+ years experience in communications within the Thailand market, preferably in an agency environment (public relations, content, digital & integrated communications)
• You possess a proven track record in managing and driving a profitable team
• You have led a steady stream of new revenue and driven new business proposals and strategies with a high win-rate
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, management, problem solving and interpersonal skills are parts of your strong suit
• You have a solid understanding of the issues and opportunities in the communications industry within Thailand
• You’re experienced in managing senior clients and mentoring junior team members
